Senior Android Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop new features from scratch in close collaboration with design, product, and other teams.

• Assist in creating clean, reusable, and resilient high-level architecture alongside the mobile team.

• Resolve bugs, monitor application performance, and maintain the health of existing code.

• Engage in and lead code reviews.

• Influence architectural decisions regarding the scalability of applications.

• Make engineering and product choices based on data and collaborative efforts across teams.

• Construct and uphold mobile applications and features through design, implementation, testing, release, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in native app development.

• Proficient in the Android framework, including Intents, Flags, Activities, and Fragments.

• Knowledge of OOP design best practices and fundamental software concepts.

• Familiarity with Android Studio.

• Strong expertise in Core Java and Kotlin.

• Understanding of native app architecture and design patterns, such as MVVM.

• Experience with deep linking, analytics, and A/B testing.

• Knowledge of networking, security, storage management, multi-threading, and app lifecycle management.

• Robust debugging and performance-tuning capabilities.

• Experience with REST APIs.

• Proficient in integrating third-party SDKs and APIs.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to translate complex project requirements into detailed technical implementation plans.
