Senior Android Developer – Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy comprehensive Android features for Malwarebytes' mobile security application.

• Partner with product managers and designers to convert requirements into scalable, high-quality Android solutions.

• Design and troubleshoot intricate mobile systems utilizing in-depth knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Flows.

• Take ownership of features from initial scoping to final release, driving delivery with both product and project-focused perspectives.

• Ensure optimal performance and compatibility across various Android versions and device types, including lower-end hardware.

• Facilitate system design discussions, effectively communicating technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Assess new tools, libraries, and platform updates, bringing valuable insights back to the team.

• Advocate for quality through code reviews, testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Implement and leverage AI-driven strategies to enhance and streamline the development process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Android development within product-oriented companies.

• Proficient in Kotlin, Coroutines, and Flows.

• Strong familiarity with Jetpack Compose.

• Excellent system design capabilities with the ability to clearly convey your approach.

• In-depth knowledge of Android versions and strategies for managing device fragmentation.

• Highly self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving results.

• Experience in developing software within an Agile/Scrum framework.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in the cybersecurity sector is an advantage.

• Test Automation experience is a significant plus.
