This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, oversee, and deliver a complex suite of quantitative outputs, including forecasts, addressable markets, and quantitative performance benchmarks.
• Conduct and manage both primary and secondary research on refurbished smartphones and the online sales channel for smartphones and tablets, monitoring market trends, pricing, and competitive dynamics.
• Lead an international research team, guiding analysis development, quality assurance, and the finalization of client deliverables.
• Act as the main point of contact for the client regarding ongoing inquiries, providing clear, data-driven responses while fostering a strong working relationship.
• Ensure consistency and rigor across research methodologies, benchmarking frameworks, as well as data quality and reporting formats.
• Coordinate timelines and workflows among distributed team members to ensure client deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director in defining potential new projects and planning internal resources and budgets, as well as coordinating external contract resources when necessary.
• Five to seven years of experience as an industry analyst in mobile devices or consumer technology; candidates with less experience but strong subject-matter expertise in refurbished smartphones or mobile devices are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in managing benchmarking or tracking studies across multiple reporting cycles would be advantageous.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, advanced formulas, pivot tables).
• Familiarity with Domo and/or other data analytics/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with Python and database applications is a significant plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Market Research, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with the capacity to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting to or managing client relationships.
• Detail-oriented with robust organizational and project management capabilities.
• Comfortable operating in a client-facing, deadline-driven setting.
