Senior Analyst, New Business Conflicts Clearance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Reviews and assesses conflict reports to identify any potential conflicts of interest that need resolution.

• Collaborates with fellow members of the New Business Conflict Clearance team, Conflicts Attorneys, and the Office of the General Counsel to address potential ethical conflicts and facilitate the initiation of new matters.

• Effectively communicates with attorneys and staff to collect necessary information for conflict checks, review conflicts, and clarify any inconsistencies in the iManage request form.

• Confirms the requirements for each conflict check with the requesting attorney or secretary to ensure adherence to firm policies and legal standards.

• Conducts corporate research utilizing both internal and external resources to verify information accuracy and comprehend corporate relationships and structures.

• Coordinates with the Client Accounting Department and other relevant departments to maintain the integrity and consistency of database information.

• Provides support for departmental functions, including after-hours and weekend assistance as necessary, ensuring the continued operation of conflict resolution processes.

• Exhibits effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to foster productive work relationships with others.

• Manages firm resources with responsibility.

• Adheres to and comprehends firm operations, policies, and procedures.

• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the capacity to learn new software and operating systems.

• Familiar with conflicts database software, ideally iManage or Intapp, and possesses a general understanding of the conflicts resolution process in a legal or professional services setting.

• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing, when interacting with firm attorneys and staff.

• Exhibits strong attention to detail.

• Possesses excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.

• Capable of managing multiple projects and adapting to shifting priorities.

• Able to handle sensitive matters while maintaining confidentiality.

• Skilled in organizing and prioritizing work effectively.

• Comfortable working in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Exercises discretion and independent, sound judgment.

• Flexible in adjusting hours to meet operational and business needs.

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services environment.

• Experience in a conflicts department at an Am Law 200 firm.
