Senior Analyst I – Trust & Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify, evaluate, and assist in categorizing content that violates policies related to violent extremism, organized crime, hate speech, and harmful activities.

• Collaborate with the client's Trust & Safety team to develop and enhance search methodologies.

• Review content in relation to platform policies.

• Convert ongoing criminal and extremist activities into detection queries.

• Create, test, and improve Boolean search strings and keyword queries.

• Examine flagged content in accordance with platform policy definitions.

• Generate succinct written analyses and reports on trends, emerging threats, and the effectiveness of queries.

• Produce high-quality tactical and strategic evaluations that guide moderation and policy-making decisions.

• Maintain and contribute to internal knowledge repositories and policy interpretation references.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native English speaker with full professional proficiency (C1/C2) in Latin American Spanish, both written and spoken.

• Preference for additional languages: Strong preference for Brazilian Portuguese; highly desirable candidates may also speak Haitian Creole, French, Dutch, and Papiamento; knowledge of Russian, Arabic, Mandarin, German, Hebrew, Persian, Turkish, or Hindi/Urdu is advantageous.

• Experience in online content moderation or the development of trust and safety policies.

• Background in investigating narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, or fraud networks, with familiarity in at least one area such as: Latin American organized crime and cartel operations, domestic or international extremist groups, or trafficking organizations.

• A solid understanding of the intelligence cycle and how intelligence requirements translate into actionable deliverables.

• Proficient open-source research skills, including navigation of social media and investigation of online footprints.

• Ability to deconstruct complex subjects quickly and convey risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences while working independently in a remote setting.
