This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist in the implementation activities for Workday Core HCM and Reporting/Analytics, including documentation of requirements, testing, validation of data, tracking issues, and providing reporting support.
• Collaborate with global HR, Payroll, IT, and implementation partners to gather, document, and validate business requirements on a global scale for Workday Core HCM and reporting solutions.
• Take part in design workshops and support decisions regarding Workday design that foster consistency in global processes, scalability, data integrity, compliance with local regulations, and an efficient user experience.
• Aid in reviewing configurations, developing test scenarios and scripts, conducting system and user acceptance testing, tracking defects, validating data conversions, and preparing for cutover/go-live activities.
• Leverage Workday expertise as ICU Medical transitions its HR processes from existing systems to a more standardized, scalable, and optimized global HR technology platform.
• Work in collaboration with global HR stakeholders to ensure that Workday facilitates daily operations, promotes process harmonization, and reconciles global standardization with regional and local business needs.
• Acquire a working knowledge and provide support for the assigned Workday modules, business processes, and reporting capabilities.
• Create, validate, and maintain custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and analytics for HR, Payroll, Finance, and senior leadership, focusing on metrics like headcount, turnover, workforce trends, and other HR operational measurements.
• After going live, offer production support that includes investigating and resolving system issues, unexpected outcomes, process gaps, data discrepancies, and reporting problems; suggest solutions or alternative methods to fulfill business requirements based on Workday capabilities.
• Coordinate with functional stakeholders and assist with system-related projects and initiatives, including Workday releases, the adoption of new functionalities, business process configuration changes, planning, implementation, testing, and communication.
• Conduct proactive audits of data to ensure quality, accuracy, timeliness, and usability, maintaining the integrity of core systems, interfaces, security, and reporting.
• Assist with special projects and other HR technology initiatives as assigned.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in Human Resources Information Systems is required.
• Previous experience with Workday is essential, including support for Workday Core HCM and/or Workday reporting.
• Participation in at least one Workday implementation, optimization, or significant enhancement project is highly preferred.
• Experience in developing or supporting Workday reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and HR analytics is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with supporting global HR processes, multi-country requirements, or complex organizational structures is preferred.
• Experience with requirements gathering, test planning, user acceptance testing, data validation, reporting, and post-go-live support is preferred.
• This role is primarily sedentary.
• The position operates in a professional office environment and typically utilizes standard office equipment.
• Travel is usually less than 5% of the time.
