Senior Analyst, Global Trade Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Assist in implementing regional trade compliance programs throughout the EMEA region.

• Ensure adherence to import/export regulations, customs laws, sanctions, and trade controls.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external customs brokers to facilitate compliant cross-border transactions.

• Keep track of regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on business across EMEA jurisdictions.

• Support audits, compliance assessments, and initiatives for corrective actions.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to customs and trade, including shipment holds and documentation discrepancies.

• Create compliance reports, metrics, and documentation for management and regulatory needs.

• Aid in process enhancements, automation, and digital transformation initiatives within trade compliance operations.

• Assist with trade compliance training and awareness initiatives.

• Work in conjunction with global trade compliance teams to synchronize regional practices with corporate policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, Law, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or global trade management.

• In-depth knowledge of EMEA customs regulations, export controls, sanctions, and international trade requirements.

• Practical experience in tariff classification, customs valuation, origin determination, and customs broker management.

• Familiarity with EU dual-use regulations, UK export controls, and sanctions compliance frameworks is preferred.

• Experience in multinational or matrix organizations.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Advanced skills in Excel and a solid understanding of ERP/system (SAP GTS preferred).

• Professional certifications (such as a customs broker license or trade compliance certification) are advantageous.
