This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Implement incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
• Conduct fundamental malware analysis.
• Create and enhance procedures for incident detection and the execution of countermeasures.
• Deliver high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to management.
• Showcase industry thought leadership through blog articles, CrowdCasts, and various public speaking engagements.
• Monitor and respond to incidents in real-time for clients via the virtual security operations center.
• Investigate targeted threats to assess the extent and scope of compromises.
• Develop tailored tactical and strategic remediation plans for affected organizations.
• Proven experience in incident handling, including managing or conducting incident response for organizations.
• Experience in investigating targeted threats such as Advanced Persistent Threats, Organized Crime, and Hacktivism.
• Familiarity with forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations.
• Knowledge of system internals relevant to countermeasures and remediation.
• Understanding of network protocols, network analysis tools, and associated network logs.
• Capability to perform both static and dynamic malware analysis.
• Strong comprehension of targeted attacks and customized remediation strategies.
• In-depth understanding of secure network architecture and network operations.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages including C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision-making, optimize workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
• Ability to complete technical tasks independently without supervision.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Recognized thought leader within the incident response sector.
• Ability to create a positive work atmosphere and attitude.
• Willingness to work a 4x10 schedule, including one weekend day.
• BA or BS / MA or MS degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience and/or training in lieu of a degree.
