This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Examine healthcare utilization, authorization, and claims data to uncover trends, cost drivers, and areas for improvement.
• Conduct intricate data analysis utilizing SQL, PowerBI, and Excel.
• Update, assess, and sustain actuarial or financial models for gainshare, ROI arrangements, and forecasting.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Automate and enhance recurring reports along with ad hoc analyses.
• Review and perform quality assurance on outputs, detect trends, and convey essential information to non-analytics teams.
• Develop exhibits, presentations, and narratives that summarize financial analyses and actuarial modeling outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to gather requirements and provide actionable insights.
• Design custom ad hoc logic with guidance and oversight from stakeholders.
• Participate in standups, client discussions, and cross-functional project teams.
• Translate business inquiries into analytical challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Identify data gaps, suggest solutions, and lead resolution efforts.
• Enhance data reliability, reporting efficiency, and analytical methodologies.
• Peer review reports and presentations and mentor junior team members on presentation best practices.
• Contribute to scalable and repeatable analytics solutions.
• Build and expand knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems, claims, reimbursement models, and regulatory frameworks.
• Stay updated on trends and best practices in healthcare analytics.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Over 4 years of experience in healthcare data analysis or a related role.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.
• Capability to merge multiple data sources and utilize pivot tables and aggregation techniques across various dimensions.
• Proficient in healthcare data, including medical, pharmacy, ancillary claims, membership, and clinical operational data.
• Preferred experience with value-based analyses or Medicaid.
• Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, or actuarial analyses is preferred.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills are preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex analyses is preferred.
• Proven problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail are preferred.
• Capacity to work in a highly matrixed environment and adapt to changes is preferred.
• Progress toward Associate of the Society of Actuaries certification is preferred.
• High-speed internet connection exceeding 10 Mbps at home.
• Capability to complete identity verification, comprehensive background checks, and in-person I-9 verification.
