This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Support and facilitate enterprise-wide Data Governance program initiatives while collaborating on strategic efforts related to data governance, data quality, and metadata activities.
• Provide assistance to the Data Governance Council and Data Governance Committee, ensuring that follow-up tasks from meetings are executed and offering education and support for data governance throughout the organization.
• Responsible for analyzing, developing, and constructing an Enterprise Data Catalog, while also establishing associated data lineage to directly support privacy, security, legal, and audit initiatives.
• Design and recommend opportunities for improving data quality.
• Collaborate with the business to develop and publish KPIs related to data quality and integrity, ensuring accessibility across all business areas.
• Act as the primary contact and liaison between business Data Domain Owners, Data Stewards, and IT.
• Work alongside Domain Owners to establish, maintain, and disseminate definitions of data elements utilized by Analytics in coordination with Domain Owners throughout the organization.
• Lead analysis and remediation efforts for complex multi-domain data issues as identified by the business and the Data Governance Committee.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• BA/BS degree with a focus on business, economics, computer science, information management systems, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent combined education and experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following areas: data management, data governance, data quality, or data analysis is preferred.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview/QlikSense, SAS, Power BI, or other Business Intelligence software and/or data visualization programs is preferred.
• Proficiency in data querying tools such as SQL, Python, or R is preferred.
• Prior experience with data catalog tools like Alation or Collibra is preferred.
• Advanced capability to interact with various database and file storage systems (Oracle, NoSQL, etc.) is required.
• Experience working in AWS/GCP cloud environments is advantageous.
• Advanced level experience with spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and data visualization software such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI is necessary.
