This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.
• Perform research on market trends, customer preferences, competitors, regulatory landscapes, and industry dynamics to pinpoint business opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.
• Create insights and presentations suitable for executives regarding M&A, strategic planning, and investment strategies.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of the company's M&A strategy, including target criteria and acquisition pipeline.
• Oversee DCF financial modeling for M&A targets, LBOs, JVs, and partnerships, focusing on capital contribution structures, profit-sharing arrangements, and scenario analyses.
• Formulate valuation perspectives through comparable company analyses and precedent transaction evaluations.
• Evaluate market dynamics, transaction activities, strategic buyer behaviors, and industry benchmarks.
• Conduct thorough financial, commercial, and operational due diligence.
• Review confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and financial as well as operational data.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Assist in planning and executing post-merger integration.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic initiatives while collaborating with business leaders to define, assess, prioritize, and develop execution roadmaps.
• Prepare recommendations for executives and board members, focusing on financial impacts, strategic justifications, risks, and considerations for implementation.
• Monitor the outcomes of initiatives and the realization of benefits.
• Report on progress towards strategic and corporate objectives.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Economics, or similar).
• Over 5 years of experience in Corporate Strategy or Strategic Planning roles, specifically in creating executive-level presentations for leadership.
• More than 5 years of experience conducting data analysis in Microsoft Excel using a range of functions.
• At least 3 years of experience in M&A with expertise in DCF valuation modeling and due diligence support for LBOs, JVs, and partnerships.
• Proficiency in financial modeling using Microsoft Excel.
• Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Preferred: Background in strategy consulting, M&A/Valuation/Corporate development analyst roles, or strategic planning.
• Preferred: Experience within the Manufacturing and/or Utility sectors.
• Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, MI, MA, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, or WY.
