Senior Analyst, Commercial Strategy and Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of new markets, which includes creating market cases, financial and operational planning, and executing strategies across various business units, divisions, and functions.

• Provide insights into the market, competitors, and customers by synthesizing external research, analyst reports, regulatory trends, competitor strategies, customer intelligence, and internal operational data.

• Support both corporate and regional strategies by translating strategic priorities into actionable regional execution and company-wide strategy processes.

• Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership.

• Identify current pain points and collaborate with ERMCO stakeholders to develop initial solutions.

• Lead enterprise-wide initiatives focused on process optimization.

• Monitor voice-of-customer feedback in collaboration with the Sales team and convert this data into actionable insights.

• Analyze global and regional commodity input prices, alongside end markets, in partnership with Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance teams.

• Transform strategic intent into commercial frameworks and tools to ensure consistent execution.

• Investigate adjacent markets and competing technologies.

• Conduct preliminary assessments of existing products and their positioning in the market.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Economics.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a strategy analyst or associate within a prominent consulting firm or strategy group.

• Preferred: At least 4 years' experience in commercial strategy, corporate strategy, consulting, market analysis, or transformation.

• Preferred: 2+ years in an analyst, associate, or consultant position at McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Parthenon, Strategy&, or Monitor Group, or a minimum of 3 years in corporate strategy.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for structuring complex commercial questions.

• Proficient in gathering and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data from various internal sources.

• Basic analytics proficiency using MS Excel.

• Competence in presentation skills utilizing MS PowerPoint.

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, sales, and strategy disciplines.

• Exposure to electric utilities or industrial power systems.

• Willingness to travel minimally to moderately, approximately 1–2 times per month.

• Must either reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the following states: AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, MI, MA, SD, TN, TX, WI, or WY.
