• Gather, verify, analyze, and merge information from various sources (including raw data) to create completed deliverables and services that assist both private and public sector clients in making informed decisions.
• Collaborate with program leadership to evaluate clients’ objectives and desired outcomes to accurately define core requirements and design research methodologies and tools for conducting primary and secondary research and analysis.
• Partner with program leadership to create, implement, and oversee an assessment methodology that aligns with client goals.
• Manage relationships with clients, partners, and vendors to foster a collaborative work environment and ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality reports.
• Conduct gap analysis to confirm that assessment/research plans, tools, and datasets fulfill all data collection goals and meet client specifications; identify information deficiencies and propose solutions.
• Formulate information collection strategies utilizing various source methodologies while emphasizing the use of local indigenous sources and secondary research, including social media analysis.
• Develop and enhance research and analysis methodologies while investigating new sources and techniques for gathering information in relevant fields.
• Integrate and synthesize streams of varied information to produce comprehensive written analytical reports that outline the problem, methodologies, key findings, gaps, assessments, and recommendations.
• Demonstrate the ability to “write for release,” which involves assessing the source and presenting the research in a manner that protects proprietary methodologies while thoroughly communicating project findings to meet requirements.
• Provide research expertise and analysis to support targeted analytical efforts in response to Requests for Information.
• Assist in research and development activities linked to Culmen’s leadership engagement with higher education institutions and clients.
• Support business development and marketing initiatives as needed by Culmen’s leadership.
• An advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of related work experience in a social science discipline such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, political science, communications, or a similar field.
• Practical knowledge and experience in marketing, communications, and/or related assessment techniques.
• Strong research and writing capabilities, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an analytical team.
• Proficiency in conducting, interpreting, and communicating complex quantitative and qualitative research derived from various data sources.
• Comprehensive understanding of qualitative and quantitative research standards and methodologies.
• Significant experience presenting research findings to senior client management, along with familiarity with current geopolitical trends and issues.
• Strong program management abilities, excellent verbal and writing skills, and experience delivering finished analytical products.
• Awareness of security and intellectual property protection.
• Understanding of cyber threats and knowledge of secure online search techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, basic computer applications, modern collaborative communication tools, information dissemination platforms, and databases.
• Capability to work in a remote environment and navigate ambiguity.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Lead and perform effectively under pressure.
• Collaborate constructively with clients and prospective clients, fostering both internal and external relationships.
• Manage diverse groups of individuals by providing guidance and direction across various technical and programmatic areas to achieve operational and financial performance objectives.
