This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Act as the reliable on-site technical representative for airline clientele.
• Function independently and remotely from GE Aerospace hubs to address technical issues and support customer fleets.
• Travel for on-site customer support as needed.
• Lead initiatives and provide technical guidance for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of designated jet engine product lines.
• Mentor and coach Field Service Engineers.
• Collaborate with various departments to enhance operational excellence.
• Oversee commercial field service policy, processes, and strategies.
• Deliver solutions to customer challenges while fostering loyalty and partnerships.
• Monitor reliability and on-wing performance, including significant occurrences, engine removals, delays, and cancellations.
• Encourage airline stakeholders to adopt reliability improvements.
• Influence long-term maintenance strategies for aircraft engine fleets.
• Interpret OEM and technical documentation.
• Assess maintenance effectiveness and pinpoint training and improvement opportunities.
• Implement FLIGHT DECK Lean Operating Model principles to discover proactive reliability enhancements.
• Generate data analytics and timely reports on fleet status, program updates, events, and trends.
• Offer proactive maintenance suggestions based on engine performance analytics.
• Aim for Controlled Title Holder status after acquiring adequate experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED/technical certificate with a minimum of 4 years of full-time experience in the specified areas.
• At least 5 years of full-time experience in Aerospace Field Service, airline operations, maintenance planning, engineering, aviation propulsion, or related disciplines.
• Willingness to travel periodically, both interstate and internationally.
• Capability to work across different time zones, including early morning and occasional late evening teleconferences with stakeholders both locally and in the US.
• Strong technical knowledge in aircraft engine fleet management.
• Experience in influencing decisions within cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using software or data analytics for technical decision-making and customer recommendations.
• Ability to independently resolve problems using sound judgment and critical thinking.
• Proven ability to lead and execute result-oriented priorities utilizing project management, analytical, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Skill in building relationships at all levels with both internal stakeholders and customers.
