This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico, +1 more state.
• Lead the exploration, design, and implementation of enterprise AI capabilities throughout the organization.
• Recognize, assess, and prioritize chances to incorporate AI into both existing and new organizational processes and tools.
• Create and implement data structures, metadata models, naming conventions, and standards for information architecture that facilitate scalable AI solutions.
• Assist in the onboarding of new AI initiatives by determining data requirements, evaluating data readiness, and outlining ingestion and preparation workflows.
• Establish procedures to evaluate and enhance ongoing data quality, consistency, completeness, and accuracy across AI datasets and workflows.
• Specify and support data preparation, ingestion, and retrieval workflows that empower production AI applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI agent solutions.
• Work in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders across various divisions to comprehend data sources, use cases, and operational limitations.
• Generate and maintain documentation for data standards, transformation logic, onboarding processes, and quality controls.
• Collaborate with AI, software, platform, and security teams to ensure that data workflows are scalable, secure, and in alignment with organizational goals.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
• 8-10 years of engineering experience.
• Over 3 years of experience in supporting AI, natural language processing, RAG, and related technologies.
• Proficiency in preparing and transforming data for analytics, machine learning, search, or AI-enabled applications.
• Experience in designing vector databases and retrieval pipelines.
• Familiarity with developing MCP Servers and Clients.
• Knowledge of data quality management practices, including validation, normalization, deduplication, and error handling.
• Experience with AI platforms, Kubernetes, and cloud AI environments (such as Azure Foundry, AWS Bedrock).
• Strong background in developing AI solutions using Python, Golang, or Typescript.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
