This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee the pre-implementation review for AI Solutions: selecting models, benchmarking costs, determining hosting strategies, and documenting prototype trade-offs prior to any development.
• Design and implement LLM pipelines including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), structured outputs, tool utilization, and multi-agent workflows.
• Create and develop REST APIs and data pipelines that link AI components with Knit and client systems.
• Maintain repository-level AI configurations, shared prompt libraries, and agent configurations.
• Conduct code reviews with written feedback; mentor junior developers, and establish and document best practices.
• Analyze SNS/SQS message contracts and assess integration impacts prior to any cross-service AI merges.
• Direct OWASP LLM Top 10 (2025) red-team testing for each project before it is released into production.
• Ensure a thorough STRIDE threat model is established for every new AI system, addressing risks such as data poisoning, prompt injection, model extraction, and excessive agency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and propose AI-driven solutions that meet business objectives and foster innovation.
• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and industry trends to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing the organization’s AI capabilities.
• Assess the effectiveness of AI solutions, continually refining and optimizing them for peak performance.
• Develop detailed documentation for AI solutions, including technical specifications for AI features, LLM APIs, ML libraries, vector stores, and more.
• Act as an AI advocate, promoting the understanding and adoption of AI technologies throughout the organization via presentations, workshops, and training sessions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AI implementations, ensuring rapid resolution of issues and minimal user disruption.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering/development experience, with at least 2 years focused on production AI/ML or LLM integration.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with FastAPI or comparable backend frameworks for production AI services.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4, or similar — encompassing structured output, tool utilization, and agentic patterns.
• Solid implementation experience with RAG, including chunking strategies, vector stores (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector), embedding models, and retrieval validation.
• Experience with document intelligence tools: OCR pipelines, PDF extraction (PyMuPDF, pdfplumber, AWS Textract, Docling).
• Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, S3, Bedrock, SageMaker, or similar cloud AI platforms.
• Knowledge of OWASP LLM Top 10 (2025) compliance, with the ability to identify, mitigate, and perform red-team testing on all 10 risks in production AI systems.
• Application of OWASP ASVS Level 2 secure coding principles to API design, authentication, and data management.
• Experience with STRIDE threat modeling for AI systems covering risks such as data poisoning, prompt injection, model extraction, and excessive agency.
• Competence in model/API selection to identify the appropriate model tier for tasks based on cost-performance fit, rather than defaulting to the best option.
• Ability to benchmark cost-per-request with documented analysis projected over 6–12 months at anticipated scale.
• Develop hosting strategies, such as evaluating serverless versus self-hosted options and assessing infrastructure cost trade-offs.
• Create prototype trade-off reports, testing 2–3 model options with documented accuracy, latency, and cost outcomes.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of designing and implementing innovative solutions.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Remote work from Monday to Friday | 9 AM to 6 PM
