Senior AI Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Safeguarding Internal AI Systems: Spearhead the security architecture for Panorama's collective AI infrastructure; take ownership of threat modeling for AI-centric risks; devise controls for validating and auditing AI outputs; develop security tools.

• Governance of AI Tools and Integrations: Oversee the process for assessing external AI tools and services; set standards for the integration of outside models.

• AI Security Governance Framework: Articulate Panorama's strategy for AI security governance; collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment of AI governance with data protection responsibilities.

• Partnership and Empowerment: Collaborate closely with engineers to integrate security into the internal AI platform; convert security requirements into actionable guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in security engineering, with practical involvement in building and securing production systems.

• Direct experience in the security of AI systems: integrations with large language models (LLMs), tool-using agents, retrieval pipelines, or similar roles.

• A sincere dedication to safeguarding student data and a commitment to the mission of supporting students and educators.

• Experience in evaluating or governing third-party AI tools and services, focusing on data privacy and vendor risk.

• Strong foundation in application and data security: including threat modeling, access control, secrets management, and the secure handling of sensitive information.

• Proven ability to establish security programs, processes, or standards from the ground up, rather than adopting an existing framework.

• Comfort in navigating environments where tools, risks, and best practices are still evolving, along with a history of providing structure to ambiguous challenges.

• A collaborative approach that fosters teamwork and encourages participation rather than creating barriers.
