This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will be responsible for the complete design process of one of our primary product areas on a platform where AI serves as the core element of the product, rather than just an additional feature.
• Your goal is to infuse consumer-grade craftsmanship into a B2B healthcare product utilized by clinicians and hospital administrators under real-time pressure, while also helping to create design patterns for AI-native interfaces that are yet to be established.
• You will design the AI-native interfaces that our platform is centered around, including multimodal interfaces, agent states, communication of uncertainty, and human-in-the-loop controls—developing new patterns as you progress rather than modifying existing ones.
• You will take ownership of the end-to-end design for a specific product area—Discharge Core, Voice Desktop, Extract & Docs, Patient Overview, or Agent—transforming a complex problem statement into a finished product.
• You will contribute to our design system by creating components and AI-specific conventions that other designers and teams depend on.
• You will work closely with product and engineering teams, influencing technical and product strategies instead of merely executing a pre-defined specification.
• You will collaborate with designers throughout the organization, impacting the product beyond your immediate team.
• You will uphold a high standard of craftsmanship in critiques, enhancing the quality of deliverables across the design team.
• You will help ensure consistency across our AI Suite (Voice, Docs, Extract, Agent) and Discharge Core, so that our rapidly expanding multi-product platform feels unified to the users.
• At least 8 years of experience in product design, including a minimum of 3 years in a Senior, Principal, or Staff position.
• Demonstrated experience in designing for AI and non-deterministic systems, with tangible examples of how you communicated agent behavior, managed errors, and ensured user control.
• Experience in owning or significantly contributing to a design system at the level of patterns and principles, not just individual components.
• Versatile skill set: equally proficient in UX processes, UI craftsmanship, product strategy, research, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven history of bringing features from concept to completion—transitioning from vague problem statements to deployed code—and comfortable taking on roles akin to PM or frontend developer when necessary.
• High level of initiative with the ability to proactively identify and address gaps, including those outside your own product area.
• Capable of maintaining a stance under pressure while being open to changing your perspective as new information emerges (not overly attached to your decisions).
• Proficient in English communication and comfortable in an international environment; knowledge of German is a bonus but not mandatory.
• Exceptional design sensibility and consumer-grade craftsmanship; experience in healthtech is a plus but not required.
• Meaningful work — your role will positively impact patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
• Company culture — flat hierarchies that foster high performance and strong team dynamics.
• Flexibility — whether you need to pick up your child from daycare or exercise during lunch, we will support you.
• Remote-friendly work environment with flexible hours.
• Opportunities for workations by arrangement.
• Edenred benefits card available for use as needed.
• Additional vacation day — take the day off to celebrate your birthday with loved ones.
