Senior AI-Native Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in defining specifications and implementation standards for the feature area by creating and maintaining executable SDD/BDD specifications.

• Employ agentic coding tools throughout the software development lifecycle while promoting AI-first development methodologies.

• Evaluate AI-generated code and agentic attestations for accuracy, edge cases, security, and compliance with specifications.

• Establish team norms regarding specifications, attestations, and the responsible use of AI tools.

• Champion Agentic and Spec-Driven Development practices across distributed engineering teams.

• Oversee the delivery of complex features and cross-team systems from specification to production.

• Design, implement, and deliver reliable and maintainable solutions for high-volume, high-availability SaaS environments.

• Proactively identify systemic risks and escalating complexities at early stages.

• Coordinate unit and integration testing to verify actual behavior.

• Set technical standards throughout the AI software development lifecycle.

• Mentor L1 and L2 engineers while providing technical direction.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers.

• Effectively communicate through specifications, code reviews, and asynchronous updates.

• Engage in agile ceremonies, Sprint Reviews, Program Reviews, and technical presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing enterprise or SaaS software within production environments.

• Daily fluency in using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or their equivalents.

• Proven track record in spec-first workflows, attestation practices, BDD, and SDD.

• Demonstrated capability to independently deliver complex features from start to finish.

• Expertise in modern backend/full-stack technologies, particularly Golang, PHP, or Node.js/TypeScript.

• Strong skills in unit and integration testing.

• Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data storage solutions.

• Background in maintaining automated unit, integration, or end-to-end testing suites.

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments with CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent written communication skills for specifications, code reviews, and asynchronous updates.

• Preferred: experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms and microservices architectures.

• Preferred: knowledge of containerization, infrastructure-as-code, or observability tools.

• Preferred: experience in developing or integrating production AI/ML features.

• Preferred: background in B2B SaaS, CRM, or revenue technology.
