Senior AI-First React Native, React Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ownership of frontend and mobile development at a lead level.

• Delivery driven by artificial intelligence.

• Make independent architectural decisions with an emphasis on scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability.

• Develop production-quality applications utilizing TypeScript across web and mobile platforms.

• Collaborate with GraphQL APIs and establish clean integration patterns throughout the frontend, mobile, and API layers.

• Define scalable engineering practices using React, React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL.

• Maintain application quality standards regarding architecture, code structure, testing, responsiveness, and developer experience.

• Set the technical direction beyond just implementation specifics.

• Establish and uphold quality standards for both AI-generated and manually crafted code.

• Leverage AI-first and agentic development workflows with tools like Cursor and Claude to enhance delivery while maintaining engineering excellence.

• Convert vague product requirements into clear technical solutions.

• Guarantee the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications on both web and mobile platforms.

• Work closely with clients to facilitate effective communication and a strong grasp of requirements.

• Contribute to system design, performance strategies, testing methodologies, and engineering productivity.

• Utilize a foundational understanding of native mobile development concepts in Kotlin/Java and Objective-C/Swift while working with React Native integrations, debugging, or addressing platform-specific needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in React, React Native, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Significant experience with GraphQL APIs.

• Extensive background in AI/ML or agentic development, utilizing Cursor, Claude, or similar tools.

• Basic knowledge of native mobile development concepts in Kotlin/Java and Objective-C/Swift.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade web and mobile applications.

• Strong understanding of performance, responsiveness, maintainability, and overall software quality.

• Proven capability to make independent architectural decisions and lead technical direction.

• Excellent communication skills with clients and stakeholders.

• Availability for full-time remote work.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least 5 years of hands-on development experience.

• Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to pass a background check with positive references.
