Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement pipelines powered by LLM that streamline intricate multi-step clinical decision workflows from start to finish.

• Develop and manage back-end services in Python that seamlessly connect with enterprise health systems (FHIR, HL7, EDI).

• Ensure the quality and dependability of AI outputs through evaluation frameworks, structured outputs, and production monitoring.

• Lead integrations with external enterprise environments, addressing compliance constraints and audit requirements associated with healthcare data.

• Convert requirements from product and customer success teams into defined technical solutions, collaborating directly with non-technical stakeholders as necessary.

• Work across the entire stack, from RAG and document pipelines to cloud infrastructure and observability tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 2 years delivering AI/ML systems in production (not in research or internal tooling).

• Practical experience in building and deploying LLM applications: prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning, and evaluation harnesses.

• Proficient in Python back-end development: FastAPI, asynchronous patterns, typing, and pytest.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate enterprise integration requirements including compliance, auditability, and security constraints.

• Capable of defining and conveying technical solutions directly to clients or non-technical stakeholders.
