Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven solutions utilizing Python, LLM frameworks, APIs, and contemporary AI tools.

• Create and enhance generative AI and agentic systems, including architecture design, technical specifications, and design evaluations.

• Collaborate across various functions with product, data, and engineering teams to provide scalable and reliable AI solutions.

• Produce high-quality components that are unit- and integration-tested, adhering to best practices and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Participate in feature estimation, system improvements, and the continuous optimization of algorithms and AI performance.

• Operate in a dynamic, agile environment, taking ownership beyond your immediate responsibilities and supporting wider team initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering with a strong proficiency in Python and a background in AI/GenAI (LangChain, Google ADK, LLMs, agentic systems).

• Practical experience in building and deploying AI solutions (RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning, AI APIs, and web services).

• Strong data management skills (PostgreSQL, vector databases) along with a solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and microservices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices (Azure DevOps), testing (unit/integration), Git, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and development tools (VS Code, PyCharm).

• A robust analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, prompt engineering expertise, and knowledge of responsible AI (bias/safety).

• Effective communication and collaboration skills; preferably with mentoring experience, an Agile mindset, and domain knowledge in retail, logistics, or supply chain.
