Senior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Development and implementation of AI-driven applications, such as LLMs, computer vision, machine learning, and optimization methods.

• Integration of AI models into existing software systems and cloud architectures in close collaboration with other developers.

• Consulting with clients to identify and specify AI use cases.

• Assisting in requirements analysis and the design of customized AI strategies.

• Continuous enhancement of AI solutions within the team.

• Participation in internal tech talks, code reviews, and the advancement of the AI toolbox.

• Breaking down complex client problems into smaller subproblems and solving them using appropriate methods.

• Transitioning AI systems into production with cloud platforms, MLOps best practices, and deployment technologies.

• Optimizing AI systems in operation, from data versioning to continuous improvement.

• Developing tailored software solutions to enhance business processes and customized digitalization for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent German and English language skills (at least C1).

• Proficiency in Python.

• Ideally, experience with Kotlin, Java, C#, or TypeScript.

• Familiarity and independent work with PyTorch, LlamaIndex, Hydra, mlflow, or pymoo.

• Ongoing engagement with current developments in the AI field.

• Ability to explain solutions in a structured, clear, and convincing manner, even for clients without a technical background.

• Understanding and application of Clean Code principles, including in Jupyter Notebooks.

• Technical competence and ability to collaborate critically and collegially with colleagues and clients.

• Experience or willingness to use AI coding tools such as Claude Code.

• Capability to independently break complex client problems into smaller subproblems.

• Proficient use of cloud platforms, MLOps best practices, and deployment technologies.

• Knowledge in data versioning and continuous optimization in production operations.
