This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of the clinical NLP integration layer that links coding infrastructure with the AI pipeline.
• Manage the golden dataset pipeline to establish trusted evaluation standards for the clinical AI program.
• Design and implement scalable data and AI workflows that ensure accurate, measurable, and explainable clinical AI solutions.
• Construct annotation pipelines and scientifically robust ground truth datasets.
• Train high-performance classifiers for complex clinical documentation scenarios.
• Tackle challenges related to sparse, skewed, and evolving label distributions.
• Collaborate with the CDI Lead, Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, and AI platform teams to co-manage the golden dataset strategy.
• Develop evaluation frameworks to guarantee reliability, scalability, and clinical validity of AI-driven coding solutions.
• Implement and maintain components of the agentic AI framework.
• Utilize open-source AI frameworks to create and test agents.
• Integrate selected open-source solutions into the agentic AI framework.
• Partner with product engineers to embed AI agents into customer-facing applications and internal tools.
• Write Python code for AI workflows, APIs, and data integration tasks.
• Test, debug, and enhance AI-powered workloads.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing efforts.
• Fulfill assigned performance-review responsibilities, special projects, and other duties.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software engineering experience with exposure to AI/ML concepts or platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with at least one agentic AI framework, such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen, acquired through projects, internships, or work experience.
• Familiarity with FastAPI or Flask is advantageous.
• Experience with containerization using Docker.
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with modern LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
• Experience in Risk Adjustment coding is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team, with a sense of urgency.
• Capability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
• Flexibility to work with global teams and teams based in various locations across the US.
• Must ensure high-speed internet access/connectivity and maintain an appropriate office setup.
