Senior AI Enablement Specialist – FE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage with business teams to gain insights into their operations, including tools, processes, challenges, and key deliverables.

• Develop AI-driven workflows, automations, and tailored tools that resolve genuine bottlenecks and provide measurable time efficiencies.

• Support team members in enhancing their AI proficiency through personalized coaching, collaborative sessions, and structured practice — guiding them from initial exploration to confident, independent application.

• Identify when a solution created for one team can benefit others, and undertake the necessary steps to make it applicable across the organization.

• Create a comprehensive framework for monitoring AI adoption progress across various business units and regularly communicate findings to IT leadership.

• Set standards for documentation within the team — ensuring every tool, workflow, and lesson learned is recorded and not just retained in memory.

• Collaborate with IT, Security, and Engineering to help establish Kong's internal AI governance standards.

• Mentor junior team members and interns by providing them with practical experience and constructive feedback.

• Stay updated on AI advancements and translate relevant information into actionable strategies for Kong's business environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a technical or cross-functional position that necessitated problem-solving across diverse teams and functions.

• Proven history of creating AI-powered tools, automations, or workflows that transformed operational processes — with specific examples to discuss.

• Experience in assisting others in acquiring new technical skills, whether through formal education, personalized coaching, or team empowerment initiatives.

• Strong communication abilities — capable of articulating technical concepts to individuals who are unfamiliar with the subject without condescension.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and self-initiate; you don’t require a detailed plan to determine your starting point.

• Experience collaborating with or within an IT organization, or a similar role that supports business operations across multiple functions.

• Practical experience with AI development platforms and tools such as Claude, Claude Code, MCPs, LLM APIs, custom agent frameworks, or workflow automation platforms. (Preferred)

• Background in change management, organizational development, or large-scale initiatives that involved engaging skeptical stakeholders. (Preferred)

• Experience in consulting, solutions engineering, or a client-facing technical role where you built trust and delivered rapid results. (Preferred)

• Familiarity with the enterprise SaaS tools utilized by Kong: Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Jira, or Freshservice. (Preferred)

• Experience developing internal toolkits, playbooks, or training programs that continued to thrive after your involvement and were widely adopted. (Preferred)

• Understanding of Kong Konnect, Kong Gateway, or API management concepts — knowledge of how APIs and AI models interconnect will aid in creating more intelligent tools. (Preferred)
