Senior AI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance backend solutions within the Corporate Financial Management sector, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and security.

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient microservices in the AWS cloud utilizing modern architectural patterns.

• Collaborate in a hybrid squad comprising individuals and semi-autonomous AI agents, working alongside multidisciplinary teams.

• Create synchronous and asynchronous integrations leveraging AWS services.

• Contribute to the design of generative AI solutions, which includes building and orchestrating autonomous AI agents.

• Utilize Spec-Driven Development (SDD), Skills definition, and Progressive Disclosure methodologies when designing and implementing AI solutions.

• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to industry best practices in software engineering.

• Support technical decision-making, mentor junior developers, and advocate for best practices in backend development and generative AI.

• Continuously monitor and enhance the observability and performance of applications in production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java, including knowledge of best practices, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.

• Proven experience with microservices architecture and the development of RESTful APIs.

• Solid understanding of AWS services.

• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and AWS integration libraries.

• Experience with both synchronous and asynchronous communication, messaging, and event-driven architecture.

• Hands-on experience in developing software that incorporates AI, including building and orchestrating AI agents.

• Practical knowledge of SDD (Spec-Driven Development), Progressive Disclosure, Skills, and Harness Engineering for agentic generative AI solutions.

• Practical experience integrating with MCPs.

• Knowledge of various AI models and techniques for efficient token utilization.

• Strong teaching and communication skills to effectively share knowledge of generative AI.

• Hands-on experience with Git and GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative version control.

• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, DEVIN, Claude Code, or Cursor AI.

• Experience working with Scrum, Kanban, and CI/CD methodologies.

• A minimum of 5 years of backend development experience using Java.

• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with troubleshooting in production environments.

• Experience with feature flags, experimentation, and controlled rollout strategies.

• Nice-to-have: production experience with generative AI, experience in financial institutions/fintechs or corporate (B2B) financial products; AWS/Java/cloud certifications; courses and certifications in generative AI.
