This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Act as a senior technical and architectural consultant for designated financial services clients.
• Facilitate technical exploration, architecture workshops, design evaluations, and continuous collaboration sessions.
• Transform client business objectives into AI roadmaps, architectural choices, implementation strategies, and technical specifications.
• Design secure AI applications and agentic workflows across Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID, Azure AI Foundry, enterprise data platforms, APIs, and sanctioned AI models.
• Establish identity, permissions, data access, networking, secrets management, logging, auditing, human-review, and least-privilege controls.
• Assess architectural choices and technical risks related to models, retrieval, memory, integrations, deployment, security, cost, resilience, maintainability, and production supportability.
• Transform validated prototypes and proofs of concept into architecture that is ready for implementation, including scope, assumptions, standards, and acceptance criteria.
• Provide architectural guidance to AI Engineers through reviews of code, evidence, testing, deployment plans, and documentation.
• Identify and communicate risks related to architecture, delivery, security, capacity, vendor, and client dependencies.
• Assist in the establishment of Atlas Technica’s AI Center of Excellence in Ukraine.
• Create reference architectures, engineering standards, technical review processes, reusable patterns, documentation standards, and mentoring strategies.
• Mentor AI Engineers and developing architects.
• Collaborate with AI leadership to design and utilize AI lab and validation environments.
• Investigate, test, and validate new AI platforms, agents, connectors, security controls, and architectural patterns.
• Over 10 years of experience in software, cloud, data, security, solution architecture, or related technical fields.
• Extensive experience leading intricate architecture decisions.
• Practical experience in designing and delivering production AI, machine learning, data, or agentic systems.
• Profound Microsoft Azure architectural knowledge encompassing hosting, identity, networking, storage, databases, logging, security, and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI platforms, RAG, embeddings, vector or hybrid search, and agent orchestration.
• Experience in designing APIs, data integrations, secure connectors, and MCP or comparable tool-integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Microsoft Graph, and least-privilege access design.
• Proficient in Python and capable of reviewing implementation code, scripts, infrastructure definitions, logs, and engineering outputs.
• Extensive experience in designing secure systems with environment separation, identity and access controls, secrets management, audit logging, observability, and human-review safeguards.
• Ability to assess technical risks and differentiate between prototypes and production-ready solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Capability to lead technical discussions with senior client executives, portfolio managers, quantitative teams, developers, security leaders, and other stakeholders.
• Experience in mentoring engineers, providing technical guidance, and delegating implementation tasks.
• Strong client-facing, communication, documentation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Preferred: experience supporting regulated financial institutions.
• Preferred: knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Defender for Cloud Apps, Intune, DLP, sensitivity labels, and compliance-oriented logging.
• Preferred: familiarity with Azure Functions, Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Preferred: experience assessing AI applications for security, architectural integrity, and production readiness.
• Preferred: experience in establishing architectural practices, technical review boards, Centers of Excellence, or offshore engineering capabilities.
