Senior AEM Frontend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Create and implement tailored frontend solutions utilizing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

• Design, maintain, and improve AEM-based websites and components with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTL (Sightly).

• Partner with backend developers to seamlessly integrate frontend templates with Sling Models and OSGi services, ensuring a clean separation of concerns.

• Oversee the troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of frontend implementation challenges across AEM environments.

• Perform code reviews and uphold frontend coding standards and AEM best practices within the team.

• Guide junior developers by mentoring them on AEM development patterns and frontend quality standards.

• Work closely with UX/Design teams to guarantee pixel-perfect, accessible, and high-performance implementations.

• Engage proactively with client stakeholders to provide updates, clarify requirements, and manage expectations.

• Contribute to enhancements in CI/CD pipeline and AEM package management workflows.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in front-end software development.

• At least 2 years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x and/or AEM as a Cloud Service).

• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience on the AEM CMS platform.

• Proficiency in SASS, LESS, or other CSS frameworks.

• Experience in developing AEM components using HTL (Sightly) and integrating them with backend Sling Models.

• Familiarity with AEM's content authoring tools, editable templates, and component dialog configurations.

• Knowledge of AEM Clientlibs and bundle generator configuration.

• Experience in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and frontend performance optimization.

• Awareness of front-end strategies to prevent security vulnerabilities.

• Familiarity with Maven-based build pipelines and AEM package management.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in dynamic, client-facing settings.

• Experience in delivering high-performance and accessible websites, applying best practices to achieve excellent scores in WEB Vitals and A11y.

• Regular use of AI coding tools in daily development workflows—especially Windsurf and Claude. Candidates should be comfortable utilizing AI assistance for code generation, debugging, documentation, and speedier implementations.

• An advanced level of English is essential for this role, as you will collaborate with US clients. Effective communication in English is crucial for delivering optimal solutions and expanding your professional horizons.
