This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.
• Take ownership of the advertising monetization strategy and its implementation across both web and mobile applications.
• Set up, manage, and optimize AdMob, Google Ad Manager, app mediation, web ad inventory, programmatic demand, and ad placements.
• Conduct audits of the existing ad setup to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing fill rate, eCPM, show rate, ARPU, and overall ad revenue.
• Design and oversee ad unit structures across various brands, platforms, countries, user segments, and placements.
• Introduce and optimize various ad formats, including banners, interstitials, native ads, and potentially rewarded ads.
• Establish and refine mediation groups, bidding strategies, waterfalls, demand partners, floors, and country-specific strategies.
• Resolve ad revenue challenges, such as no-fill situations, low show rates, SDK/adapter problems, consent-related issues, policy restrictions, and impacts of app releases.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to implement SDKs, mediation adapters, ad placements, event tracking, consent flows, and quality assurance processes.
• Partner with the Product team to ensure ad placements enhance incremental revenue while preserving subscription conversion, user retention, and overall user experience.
• Work alongside the Data team to create reporting dashboards and track key ad monetization metrics by platform, brand, country, placement, app version, and user type.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate ad formats, placements, frequency caps, mediation adjustments, and demand partners.
• Monitor ad quality, adherence to policies, brand safety, privacy requirements, and consent management practices.
• Provide weekly reports, insights, and recommendations to company leadership.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Google AdMob.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Google Ad Manager.
• Expertise in app ad mediation setup and optimization, including bidding, waterfalls, mediation groups, demand partners, and country-specific optimization.
• Proficiency in web ad monetization, encompassing ad units, line items, orders, targeting, programmatic demand, direct campaigns, and yield optimization.
• Solid understanding of essential ad metrics: Ad requests: Match rate / fill rate, Show rate, Impressions, eCPM, CTR, ARPDAU / ARPU, Revenue per session, Impressions per user, No-fill rate.
• Capability to diagnose revenue declines and technical ad issues.
• Experience with various ad formats: Banner ads, Interstitial ads, Native ads, Rewarded ads, Web display ads.
• Familiarity with consent management, privacy regulations, GDPR/CCPA considerations, and ad personalization settings.
• Knowledge of SDK implementation, mediation adapters, app release impacts, test ads, quality assurance, and debugging tools.
• Ability to articulate clear implementation requirements for the Engineering team.
• Proficient in reporting and analytical skills using tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, BigQuery, Excel, or similar platforms.
• Experience conducting A/B tests or controlled experiments for ad placements, frequency caps, and monetization adjustments.
• Understanding of subscription-based businesses and the ability to balance ad revenue with subscription conversion and retention.
