Senior Accounting Manager – CPG & E-Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage a team of Accounting Managers and bookkeepers, along with a portfolio of clients.

• Offer guidance and support to the team.

• Provide clients with weekly and monthly financial reports through the team.

• Act as a point of escalation and a strategic partner for clients.

• Ensure the accuracy of data presented and conduct final quality control on deliverables.

• Supervise month-end close processes and critical accounting tasks.

• Analyze management reports, accounting packages, reconciliations, and trends in balance sheets and P&L.

• Assess inventory reconciliations, write-offs, obsolescence adjustments, product costs, and inventory systems.

• Examine accounts receivable processing and aging reports.

• Review accounts payable processing, aging reports, and Bill.com payments.

• Oversee payroll processing, journal entries, and accruals.

• Generate ad hoc reports and details as needed.

• Manage client communications effectively.

• Train and supervise the team on client and administrative responsibilities.

• Assist in the development of SOPs and training materials.

• Oversee the budget for the pod.

• Ensure proper organization of files and document storage.

• Engage in assigned training sessions.

• Contribute as a thought partner to the internal team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.

• At least 2 years of experience in a multi-client or consulting role.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership capacity.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Excel.

• Experience with NetSuite and Xero is a significant advantage.

• Experience with e-commerce clients is mandatory.

• Proficient in reconciling platforms like Shopify, PayPal, Bill.com, etc.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.

• Solid comprehension of financial statements and their evaluation.

• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

• Capable of effectively prioritizing and managing time in a remote work setting.

• Demonstrates a proactive and team-oriented attitude.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Must be located within the United States.
