This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze and apply ASC 606 standards to intricate, multi-element arrangements, subscription frameworks, variable considerations, and contract modifications.
• Evaluate and authorize revenue recognition for customer contracts, ensuring timely and accurate revenue classification.
• Update and maintain revenue policies to align with business transformations, new product introductions, and changing accounting regulations.
• Draft and assess technical memoranda and documentation related to revenue recognition.
• Oversee the revenue close process, which includes reviewing journal entries, conducting deferred revenue analyses, and performing reconciliations.
• Identify and apply automation and process enhancement opportunities to expedite close timelines.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Legal teams to review contract terms prior to execution and to guide deal structuring decisions.
• Work with FP&A to ensure precise forecasting of revenue and deferred balances.
• Offer global revenue accounting guidance to regional accounting teams to maintain consistency across various locations.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Pricing teams to evaluate revenue implications of new offerings.
• Take ownership of and execute essential SOX controls concerning revenue recognition.
• Prepare documentation for audits and coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual review processes.
• Enhance the company's control environment by ensuring that revenue processes are complete, accurate, and well-supported.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 5–8+ years of experience in revenue recognition, technical accounting, or auditing, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and associated technical accounting standards.
• Experience with intricate, global revenue arrangements.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to multitask and lead teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with sound judgment and logical decision-making skills, employing a hands-on approach.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Experience in SaaS, technology, or multi-product global corporations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle, and Cognos is advantageous.
