Senior Accounting & Finance Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of queries and data logic for monthly closing, tax, reserve/provisioning, transaction, and cash-rollforward reporting across all markets.

• Provide support for external audits, including loan-level listings, cash rollforwards, subsequent collections, guarantee asset/liability reports, and auditor requests.

• Ensure comprehensive traceability and maintain audit-ready documentation for reports.

• Document inherited reporting logic, manage version-controlled queries in Git, and establish clear data lineage.

• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to transition reporting from Business_DB to Presentation Layer/dbt, ensuring testing and version control.

• Keep the accounting master report list as a unified source of truth.

• Manage reconciliation logic for loan-level, cash-rollforward, and partner/channeling reconciliations.

• Address multi-entity, multi-market regulatory variations and deliver fast-turnaround reporting, such as India RBI reporting.

• Stabilize and document the reporting framework, support the 2026 external audit cycle, and advance Finance reporting toward self-service capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in data/analytics roles with significant exposure to financial or accounting reporting.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Familiarity with Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse.

• Capability to read, refactor, and document inherited queries and stored procedures.

• Direct experience working with external auditors; experience with Big-4 statutory audits is preferred.

• Experience in documenting business processes, reporting logic, and functional requirements.

• Background in producing month-end close, tax, and regulatory reporting, ideally across various markets/entities.

• Intermediate proficiency in Python.

• A mindset geared towards standardization, scalability, continuous process improvement, minimizing manual work, and ensuring reliable Finance operations.
