This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes across regulated entities.
• Prepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, perform financial analyses, and develop supporting schedules.
• Aid in fulfilling regulatory reporting obligations, including the preparation of necessary workpapers and schedules.
• Oversee daily capital, liquidity, and customer fund reporting processes along with associated reconciliations.
• Conduct daily trade, position, cash, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring prompt resolution of any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Accounting leadership to document, implement, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist during annual audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance assessments by preparing documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Support tax reporting requirements and other regulatory reporting duties.
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of scalable accounting and reporting processes as the organization expands.
• Identify potential for automation and process improvements to minimize manual tasks and boost operational efficiency.
• Collaborate across functions with Finance, Compliance, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to facilitate new products and business initiatives.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
• Active CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and foundational accounting principles.
• Experience in public accounting, financial services, fintech, banking, broker-dealers, asset management, trading firms, or similar environments.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex business models, financial products, and regulatory frameworks.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and accountability.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication abilities and capacity to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage, or similar.
