Senior Accountant – Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare, import, and enter journal entries while ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of the general ledger.

• Assist with the maintenance of the chart of accounts and the management of intercompany transactions.

• Guarantee accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with organizational policies.

• Generate financial analyses and reports as requested by the Controller, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), or Executive Leadership to aid in decision-making.

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring precision and promptly addressing discrepancies.

• Manage the complete lifecycle of accounts receivable, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.

• Handle all Accounts Payable (A/P) transactions, which includes obtaining necessary documentation, verifying coding, and executing data entry for vendor invoices.

• Assist in the monthly financial closing process, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are finalized punctually.

• Prepare and present detailed financial data to aid in the preparation of IRS Form 990.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, covering AR, GL, FP&A, and audit support.

• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced features such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial management within nonprofit organizations.

• Proficient with accounting and CRM software (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce), Excel, Purchasing Card Software, LeaseCrunch, and various financial software applications.
