Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and provide guidance on technical accounting subjects, such as GAAP, financial reporting, and SEC regulations.

• Create detailed technical memoranda, analyses, and presentations.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to address intricate accounting challenges.

• Aid in the preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and ensure audit readiness.

• Serve as backup support for the financial reporting team.

• Contribute to internal controls and initiatives for SOX compliance.

• Coordinate effectively with both internal and external legal counsel, as well as external auditors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible and relevant experience; experience in public accounting is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational abilities.

• Capability to excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and to effectively manage change.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Experience with Workiva is a plus.
