Senior Accountant, Technical Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and provide insights on technical accounting subjects, including GAAP, financial reporting, and SEC regulations.

• Create detailed technical memoranda, analyses, and presentations.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams to address complex accounting challenges.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and audit readiness.

• Serve as backup support for the financial reporting team.

• Aid in initiatives related to internal controls and SOX compliance.

• Coordinate efforts with both internal and external legal counsel, as well as external auditors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.

• CPA designation is preferred.

• A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience; experience in public accounting is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

• Capability to excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and effectively implement changes.

• Effective communication and analytical skills are essential.

• Familiarity with Workiva is a plus.
