Senior Accountant, Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee financial management functions for a U.S.-based e-commerce client

• Handle accounts payable, item-level inventory accounting, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting packages

• Document and reconcile inventory movements, warehouse transfers, and inventory modifications

• Ensure accurate Balance Sheet valuation by reconciling inventory between operational software and accounting records

• Compute, analyze, and present SKU-level COGS and profit margins

• Create detailed P&L reports for various product lines

• Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packages, including P&L statements and Balance Sheets, in adherence to U.S. GAAP

• Develop, maintain, and present both regular and ad hoc financial reports, variance analyses, and account reconciliations for executive management

• Maintain, streamline, and enhance cloud-based accounting and inventory management systems

• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and client teams to ensure data integrity

• Report directly to the designated client manager and receive supervision from Big Ideas Social Media Inc.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• At least 5 years of demonstrable, progressive accounting experience

• Proven expertise in full-cycle general ledger, accounts payable, and inventory accounting

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, dynamic arrays, and complex financial models

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively under pressure

• High level of professionalism and discretion

• Organized, independent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player

• Proactive with the ability to take initiative without constant supervision

• Experience in U.S. e-commerce, CPG, DTC, or retail accounting processes is preferred

• Practical experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, and inventory management tools is preferred

• Familiarity with AI tools or advanced automation scripts is preferred

• Must be eligible to work legally as a remote freelancer or contractor based in the Philippines

• Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen or a foreigner with a valid work visa or permit to work legally in the Philippines

• Possess a computer or laptop capable of managing complex datasets and multi-application workflows

• Have a fast and reliable home internet connection of at least 200-300 MBPS

• Maintain a quiet and distraction-free home work environment

• Willingness to work graveyard shifts or adapt to changing U.S. schedules

• Availability from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday

• Overtime must receive prior approval from the client
