This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Manage the entire monthly partner billing process, which includes collecting partner-specific information, generating reports using existing tools, and facilitating internal review and approval until completion.
• Handle communication with partners by reviewing and dispatching billing emails and addressing partner inquiries directly.
• Assess and investigate data discrepancies, resolving issues independently where possible and documenting pipeline problems for escalation.
• Generate, issue, and monitor partner invoices in NetSuite, align purchase orders with invoices, and ensure that remittances are both received and appropriately applied.
• Complete vendor and customer onboarding for new partners, which involves gathering necessary documentation, tax forms, and banking details.
• Assist in the month-end close process through account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries.
• Maintain documentation of processes and support external audit requests as necessary.
• Engage in ad hoc accounting and finance operations projects as they arise.
• Over 3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations, with a proven ability to independently manage recurring cycles.
• Proficient in NetSuite AR and billing processes.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to oversee a deadline-driven monthly cycle without daily supervision.
• Strong, professional written communication skills, as you will serve as a direct contact for external partners.
• A detail-oriented approach to reconciliation, with the ability to track down discrepancies across various data sources.
• Familiarity with SQL or BigQuery to address data inquiries prior to escalation (desirable).
• Background in a high-growth technology, marketplace, or travel company (desirable).
• Understanding of revenue share, commission, or variable partner billing structures (desirable).
