Senior Accountant – General Ledger & Close

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Executing the processes for monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes.

• Preparing and reviewing journal entries for accuracy.

• Conducting account reconciliations to guarantee precise financial reporting.

• Supporting compliance with GAAP across APA and its associated entities.

• Carrying out financial analyses.

• Generating reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Managing LLC accounting by reviewing workpapers created by external accountants.

• Assisting with audit activities.

• Ensuring prompt responses to internal and external inquiries.

• Monitoring cash flow effectively.

• Identifying potential risks and offering insights to facilitate financial decision-making.

• Assessing and enhancing accounting processes and internal controls.

• Collaborating with various teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a comparable field of experience.

• 5 to 10 years of accounting experience with direct involvement in closing processes.

• Extensive expertise in reconciliations, journal entries, and account analyses.

• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting principles.

• Exceptional critical thinking skills and keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities.
