This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Take charge of daily accounting operations, monthly reporting, and ERP functions for Oyster entities globally, particularly in the EMEA region.
• Oversee complete accounting processes and intercompany transactions for international subsidiaries.
• Prepare and assess financial statements and balance-sheet reconciliations across various entities.
• Direct month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring proper checklists and documentation are maintained.
• Facilitate monthly, quarterly, and annual local statutory filings while providing necessary support packages.
• Supervise local statutory audits and address auditor inquiries and adjustments.
• Reconcile local statutory records with the ERP system.
• Perform financial analysis to identify trends or discrepancies, delivering insights that aid decision-making.
• Manage assigned ERP tasks and enhance accounting standards, controls, documentation, and automation processes.
• Coordinate with Finance, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and external partners to manage interdependencies.
• Implement ad hoc financial projects as necessary.
• Provide practical guidance to junior colleagues.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a senior-accountant role.
• CPA (or part-qualified) or an equivalent professional accounting certification.
• Strong understanding of multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, financial reporting, reconciliations, closing processes, and audit support.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of pivot tables and handling large datasets.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, evidence-based approach to problem-solving.
• Capability to prioritize conflicting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards across multiple entities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Effective management of stakeholders in an asynchronous work environment.
• Proactive follow-through, sound judgment, and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and automation.
• Reliable internet connection at home.

• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP, payroll accounting, or SaaS, as well as familiarity with high-growth startups or rapidly evolving international environments, particularly in EMEA jurisdictions, are considered advantageous.
