Senior Accountant Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver fractional accounting consulting services as an employee of Kranz Consulting to clients in startup and emerging growth sectors.

• Work closely with senior management of clients in both operational and financial capacities.

• Handle incoming invoices, ensuring they are matched to purchase orders, routed for approvals and payments, entered into accounting systems, and prepare weekly accounts payable listings, while identifying vendors for timely and accurate payment.

• Process expense reimbursement requests and generate 1099 forms.

• Prepare and manage payroll along with related journal entries.

• Assist with bank transactions, weekly cash forecasts, cash transfer requests, cash account reconciliations, and the routing of checks for signatures.

• Receive incoming checks, compile weekly cash collections and aged receivables reports, and aid in the collections process.

• Maintain month-end account reconciliations and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

• Provide support to the finance department as required.

• Assist with Sales & Use tax, Delaware Franchise tax, and unsecured property taxes (571L).

• Conduct month-end activities and balance sheet reconciliations, including accrued prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting.

• Over 4 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Proficiency in accounting and transaction systems, including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, Bill.com, and Expensify, in a user capacity.

• Experience with cloud-based accounting applications and platforms.

• Prior consulting experience is advantageous.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and responsive communication abilities.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team, be proactive, solve problems, and acquire new knowledge.

• Exceptional PC skills with MS Office and Google Suite.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
