Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute advanced accounting functions and analyses in support of monthly and quarterly financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

• Aid in the monthly closing process, which includes handling complex journal entries, monitoring sub-ledger interfaces, and ensuring completion of close deliverables.

• Reconcile corporate cash activities, track daily cash flows, and assist with intercompany cash netting alongside Treasury and Banking teams.

• Support the accounting setup post-acquisition and ensure that acquired entities align with WMG’s Record to Report processes.

• Identify and address intercompany discrepancies that impact financial closing.

• Review the deliverables from the offshore team, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate the timely execution of tasks.

• Assist with requests from internal and external audits, tax reporting, supporting schedules, and necessary documentation.

• Discover and implement automation opportunities within BlackLine.

• Ensure adherence to SOX requirements, internal controls, accounting policies, and U.S. GAAP standards.

• Foster relationships with finance teams and contribute to cross-functional initiatives and special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 5-10 years of experience in Shared Services or Corporate Accounting, and/or experience with a Big 4 CPA firm.

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance standards.

• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and account reconciliation platforms (e.g., BlackLine).

• Practical experience with corporate cash management, bank reconciliations, and intercompany processes.

• Knowledge and experience with SAP.
