Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete accounting cycle, which encompasses reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting.

• Reconcile cash and transaction activities within a network of digital currency kiosks.

• Collaborate with operations and cash logistics teams to address discrepancies.

• Assist in accounting for digital asset transactions related to kiosk sales, OTC trading, online purchases, and digital wallet operations.

• Monitor transaction volumes and gains/losses across various revenue streams.

• Exercise financial judgment while ensuring precision and compliance.

• Integrate and enhance accounting tools and systems for a rapidly growing, multi-location enterprise.

• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, and vendor relations.

• Aid in compliance and regulatory financial reporting for a licensed money services company.

• Collaborate with the compliance team on regulatory financial reporting as required.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online or comparable cloud accounting software, along with Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Drive.

• Keep updated with emerging technologies and AI applications that enhance accounting efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with companies based in the U.S.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Demonstrated success in managing full-cycle accounting in a high-volume transaction or multi-location business setting.

• Strong skills in general ledger management, reconciliation, and month-end closing processes.

• Ability to adjust to changing priorities across various business lines.

• Experience making informed financial decisions in dynamic, high-growth business environments.

• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, digital assets, or regulated financial services/money services business settings is a strong advantage, though not essential.

• Proficient in cloud-based accounting software like QuickBooks Online or similar platforms.

• Proficient with Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Drive.

• Experience with cash management or treasury reconciliation tools is highly desirable.

• Exposure to cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, or crypto-specific accounting software is a bonus.

• Awareness of AI applications in accounting is an advantage.

• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across digital platforms.

• Proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with outstanding time management, organizational, and independent problem-solving abilities.

• Strong sense of ownership, receptiveness to feedback, and adaptability to evolving priorities.

• Must currently reside in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.
