This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute daily general accounting tasks and oversee assigned areas such as prepaid expenses, debt, fixed assets, and accrued expenses.
• Organize and carry out month-end closing schedules, reconciliations, and financial statement roll-forwards following US GAAP standards.
• Conduct monthly budget versus actual analysis and prepare financial reporting deliverables in collaboration with the Accounting and FP&A teams.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to implement best practices that promote reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment.
• Assist with wider accounting workflows, including trade and revenue accounting.
• Aid in inventory accounting and COGS workflows alongside the Senior Manager of Inventory Accounting.
• Contribute to the annual financial audit by preparing workpapers and supporting documentation for external auditors.
• Work with business partners across various departments to develop accounting processes for new business initiatives.
• Report directly to the Accounting Manager.
• Previous professional experience in a general or corporate accounting role (in-house) or in public accounting/audit.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles, including revenue recognition, prepaid and accrued expenses, fixed assets, debt, and inventory management.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to meet month-end close deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and effective timeline management.
• Proactive in driving improvements and automation in systems and accounting/business processes.
• Experience in Budget Variance Analysis is preferred.
• Exposure to CPG inventory accounting or experience in a high-growth environment is advantageous.
• ERP experience is a plus; familiarity with NetSuite is highly preferred.
