Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts. Conduct general ledger account analyses by examining transactions within the general ledger to ensure precision in the GL account.

• Oversee revenue recognition processes alongside revenue, work-in-progress (WIP), and deferred revenue schedules.

• Collaborate with Staff Accountants to perform monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts.

• Aid in the compilation and recording of month-end expense accruals.

• Prepare journal entries at month-end.

• Manage and reconcile all intercompany transactions.

• Investigate and suggest solutions for outstanding items on balance sheet reconciliations.

• Support the month-end ancillary package and Hyperion trial balance uploads.

• Act as a backup for various functions within the Shared Service Department.

• Assist with internal and external audits as needed.

• Help with ad hoc requests as assigned.

• Contribute to the development and upkeep of internal controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred experience with large ERP and Accounting Software (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, NetSuite, Maconomy, etc.).

• Fundamental knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Basic understanding of the technical details of account analyses and financial statements.

• Ability to reconcile accounts and conduct GL analysis effectively.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.

• Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience.

• Basic Excel skills needed (Sumif, Vlookup, Pivot Tables).

• Capability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, meet critical deadlines, and focus on details.

• Highly organized and motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal communication skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in English.

• Must be located in Latin America.
