Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of essential elements in the month-end closing process, which includes preparing intricate journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and conducting fluctuation analyses.

• Aid in formulating guidance regarding the accounting ramifications of new transactions while ensuring alignment with US GAAP standards.

• Contribute to the development and design of our internal controls aimed at enhancing the accuracy of our financial records and scaling our processes.

• Help prepare technical accounting memorandums and support the drafting of footnotes and schedules for our financial statements.

• Manage internal and external audit activities, acting as a key liaison for auditors and overseeing the flow of information for designated accounting areas.

• Propel process improvements by identifying opportunities to automate and optimize accounting workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA certification is highly preferred.

• Over 4 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a background in public accounting or a blend of public and industry experience.

• Strong familiarity with and practical application of US GAAP, including experience with complex accounting issues.

• Proven ability to utilize AI tools for enhancing business processes, automating routine tasks, or improving the quality and efficiency of financial analysis (Preferred).

• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with a demonstrated capacity to identify and rectify discrepancies.

• Capability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

• A collaborative attitude with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a quick learning ability for new accounting systems such as Sage Intacct.
