This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare for and assist with GAAP financial audits.
• Aid in addressing key issues and identifying opportunities that promote consistent, timely, and precise revenue reporting and reconciliations.
• Support month-end closing, reporting, reconciliations, and various other accounting tasks.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting while performing monthly and quarterly flux analyses for both the balance sheet and income statement.
• Assist with payroll accounting, involving accruals, reconciliations, and period-end closing activities; ensure the precise recording of compensation expenses and related liabilities in line with GAAP and company policies.
• Support journal entries for intercompany transactions and reconciliations among entities; ensure correct eliminations and timely settlements.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing financial and accounting processes, including systems, tools, software, and workflows.
• Develop and establish the Accounts Payable process for month-end closing tasks, including the accrual process and aged payable review.
• BA/BS in Accounting.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to a healthcare organization and/or a high-growth startup.
• Familiarity with GAAP accounting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong expertise in Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, vendor management, purchasing workflows, and process development.
• Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and managing projects and tasks effectively.
• Experience in establishing processes, procedures, and workflows that facilitate sustainable business scaling.
• Ownership mindset – take responsibility for driving results for the mission, business, and customer experience.
• Excellent collaboration skills with thought partners in engineering, design, data science, and operations.
• Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, complex early-stage startup environment that minimizes decision-making barriers (no “red tape”).
• Passion for assisting individuals facing complex chronic needs, such as homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use disorders.
• Competitive salary: $120,000 - $140,000.
