Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes for entities located in Germany and the Czech Republic.

• Prepare and review journal entries, provisions, accruals, and conduct balance sheet reconciliations.

• Oversee accounting operations for German and Czech entities.

• Collaborate with external accounting partners to ensure adherence to applicable statutory requirements.

• Manage intercompany accounting, which includes Group reconciliations and settlements.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with German HGB and Czech GAAP.

• Work in conjunction with tax advisors, auditors, and the international Group Finance team.

• Coordinate matters related to audits, tax, and VAT.

• Prepare management reports and Group reporting.

• Support treasury functions, including payment processing and cash flow management.

• Enhance and refine financial processes, systems, and internal controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a similar qualification with an emphasis on accounting.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance and accounting.

• Experience preferably in an international, multi-entity environment.

• Strong familiarity with German HGB regulations.

• Good understanding of Czech GAAP.

• Experience with financial statements, tax matters, VAT, and audits.

• Knowledge in intercompany accounting, Group reporting, and consolidation processes.

• Proficiency in modern ERP systems such as DATEV, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar platforms.

• Excellent skills in Excel.

• Confident communication skills in both German and English.
