Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Supervise the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, ensuring precision and punctuality.

• Prepare and assess financial statements in accordance with US GAAP standards.

• Oversee general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals across various legal entities and currencies.

• Examine financial data to uncover trends, discrepancies, and potential areas for enhancement.

• Collaborate with external auditors to guarantee audit preparedness.

• Support local statutory (non-US entities) financial statements and audit processes.

• Formulate and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Employ computerized accounting software, including NetSuite, FloQast, Excel, and Salesforce, to fulfill duties and responsibilities.

• Safeguard the confidentiality of all proprietary accounting information.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts on both a consolidated and local statutory basis.

• Analyze the fluctuations in general ledger accounts relative to budget and forecast.

• Produce accounting statements and reports as directed.

• Organize and manage retention files electronically within the document system for the required duration.

• Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

• Learn and assist with the implementation of software enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a comparable combination of advanced education.

• In-depth understanding of GAAP and regulatory standards.

• Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

• U.S. CPA designation preferred.

• Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce is advantageous.
