This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Initiate and record journal entries, prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, and investigate and resolve issues as necessary.
• Create monthly financial reporting packages for one or more regional offices, which includes conducting variance analysis.
• Research accounting standards and draft memos.
• Support the development of new processes and procedures aimed at enhancing month-end closing and financial reporting, while also improving collaboration between property accounting and corporate accounting.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives designed to boost efficiency and optimize the use of available tools, including the recently implemented ERP system.
• Analyze expenses and provide assistance in budget preparation.
• Prepare requests related to audits and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Collaborate directly with the Assistant Controller to establish new processes and procedures.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• Preferred experience in multifamily property accounting.
• Strong critical thinking, quantitative, and analytical abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial principles.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
